[CBC News] There is more than one way to receive the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Attention is focusing on the 'Semi-Annual EITC System' operated by the National Tax Service, as it allows some earned income earners to receive the credit in advance without having to wait until the end of the year.

According to National Tax Service guidance materials, the first-half EITC for the year 2025 has been fully disbursed through the semi-annual application system. This semi-annual application is available for households with earned income only.
