Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hosts '25th Talk Talk with Diplomats'... "We Will Pursue Practical Diplomacy Felt by the Public"

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the public communication event '25th Talk Talk with Diplomats' on the afternoon of the 29th at the MOFA building in Seoul. About 100 citizens attended the event, and the official MOFA supporters' group 'Moparang' participated in its planning and operation, adding special significance.

In his opening remarks, MOFA Spokesperson Park Il stated, "We will pursue a diplomacy that citizens can understand and experience firsthand, and a diplomacy that makes a practical contribution to their lives." He emphasized, "We will continue to expand our communication channels so that the public can engage with diplomacy more easily and closely."

In the main session, Ambassador for Public Diplomacy and Representative of the Government on Overseas Nationals and Consular Affairs Lim Sang-woo delivered a presentation. Ambassador Lim introduced Korea's international standing, the significance of public diplomacy, and the roles and responsibilities of diplomats. In particular, he vividly shared his field experiences regarding consular safety and the protection of overseas nationals, explaining how diplomacy connects citizens' lives with Korea's role in the international community.

In the ensuing second part, a talk concert was held where Ambassador Lim directly answered questions from the 'Moparang' supporters, taking time to communicate with the participants. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs plans to continue organizing opportunities to share stories from the diplomatic field and communicate with the public in the future.
